Belesema Harmony is a 4.5 year old dark chestnut mare from the famed Belesemo endurance breeding program. Belesemo horses have covered over 47,000 AERC miles, won regional & national championships & Top 10ed the Tevis. Harmony was sired by BA Fantizon, a well-known endurance sire and winner of the AERC Jim Jones Award (place 3rd another year). In addition, Harmony's dam is by RD Arizon, one of Belesemo Arabians' best used sires, and out of a Belesemo Trad daughter. Belesemo Trad has sired literally dozens of successful endurance horses and was the foundation sire for Belesemo Arabians. Harmony is correct mare with lots of substance -- very easy keeper! She is a typical "Zoni" daughter: very calm and easy going...nothing much bothers this Buddha girl. Harmony is in foal to the cremello Akhal-Teke stallion "Kinor" for a May '10 foal (see pics of this stallion in the ad). This foal is guaranteed to be a palomino, and very likely to be a dark or "chocolate" palomino with chrome! Akhal-Tekes are a rare breed known for their smooth, ground-covering gaits,their legendary endurance and their unique "metallic" gleam. The Arab/Teke cross is outstanding -- producing awesome athletes who usually have more height than an Arab, great bone/feet and smoother, more forward & correct gaits. Kinor's foals have always sold for good prices as weanlings; in fact successful endurance riders such as Mel Hare and Kerry Lee Redente have either bred their own mares to this lovely stallion or are raising Kinor foals with an endurance career in mind. Tragically, we lost Kinor in a pasture accident this summer --- making this coming foal even more valuable as Kinor was really a "one of a kind" stallion in terms of breed, color & gaits. Harmony is offered for sale to a loving home. Although she is unstarted, her easy going temperament & parentage will almost guarantee a no fuss, no spook "family" type riding horse with very little effort. She is super easy to handle, UTD on all shots/worming/foot care and has no soundness issues.
