Liberty is a big stout 81% foundation bred horse who needs a job.
She is very responsive to pressure and release, yeilds hindquarters and forequarters nicely. She is not a high strung horse, more laid back, is used to loud noises, and lots of commotion going on around her. She has big beautiful feet, never had any problems with her feet. She had shoes on all summer due to riding her, and now she is barefoot for the winter. There is nothing wrong with this mare except that she needs a good job. She wants to learn, she wants to please. She could drag anything to the fire if it were asked of her, or could pack you around in the mountains for days on end if need be.
This mare was sent off for 60 days back in February. Before that she was extensively worked with on the ground. You can lower her head by just putting a little bit of pressure on the top of her head behind her ears, you can move her forequarters and hindquarters both with very little pressure, you can easily back her up with just a jiggle of the lead rope if you need to. Due to a lack of time though she isn't being worked with like she needs/wants. And she isn't getting the saddle time that she needs either. She really is a great horse, she's fun, curious and wants to learn.
