For sale is a truly superb 2001 Pinto and Bask bred Arabian mare!
Bearing loud tricolor tobiano markings, an elegant Arab head, soft dark eyes, and beautiful movement, Deshaye Bask is a head turner in and out of the show ring. Featuring that very rare combination of beauty, sensibility, movement and personality, Shaye is a one in a million horse!
DeShaye Bask (Shaye) has been shown successfully in Hunt Seat Pleasure, Bridlepath Pleasure, Western Pleasure, Trail, Horsemanship and Showmanship at the WSCA level. Shaye actually qualified for the 2008 WSCA Championship Show, while being ridden by trainer Jesse Gryskiewicz, during her very first show! (She went on to handle the whole State Fair Coliseum experience beautifully, and placed a respectable 13th in a very large class!)
Shaye has already been qualified for the 2009 WSCA Champ show with my 11 year old daughter on board, and will continue to be actively shown and trail ridden until she is sold. Although we have only shown Shaye at the local WSCA level, she is the type of horse that would shine on a larger, more competitive circuit and would do a breed show proud. She loves to be worked, and truly excels with each ride and challenge. She is smart and quick, has a very good head, loads of endurance, and bonds easily to people.
Shaye has benefited from 45 days of professional training by horse trainers extraordinaire Alex and Jesse Gryskiewicz of All Season Stables in Hinckley, MN, and the reason for her sale is that she is truly under-utilized, as my daughter is more interested in gaming her Quarter Horse. (sigh)
She has no health issues, is up to date on all vaccinations and has a current Coggins. She has never been bred, but would be a lovely broodmare. She has very good ground manners, stands quietly for clipping, bathing and farrier, and trailers beautifully. She is wonderful around dogs, kids, tractors, chickens and other horses - although she is certainly the head mare in our pasture.
If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to email or call. I encourage serious inquiries, but kids - please ask your parents to call.
A kind horse lover emailed the following information to me (thank you!):
"Lovely mare, she has her grandfather's big eyes. El Bahim Halawa, Shaye's paternal grand sire, was a 2 time US National Champion in dressage. He had the very best disposition I've ever seen, and it was a trait he passed on to his kids."
